Ace's Art Exhibition: Sharon Sun's “Early Morning View”

Sharon Sun, fr. “Early Morning View”

Different hues of blue acrylic paints, along with some whites, browns, and blacks.

“It was around 12:30 in the morning, and I was completing some homework when I suddenly got a random sense of inspiration to paint a landscape under the night sky. I still don't know where the idea came from, given the fact that I had only painted once with acrylics before, and the outcome didn't look too good. Anyway, I ditched my homework in an attempt to draw a vague sketch on a notecard. The vague sketch turned into a bold outline, which then, turned into a full painting within the course of an hour. I can't say that the picture was anywhere near good, based on professional standards, but I do like it. Besides, this painting experience has definitely been a good one, even though staying up into the early hours of the morning can be a tiny bit draining.”
