Jacob Espinoza, jr., Showcases Artistic Talent

Jacob Espinoza, a junior at east high school is now 1 of 4 students in Kansas whose artwork will be exhibited at the youth gallery in Washington DC. Espinoza titled his painting “The Bouquet” and was selected by a local jury to represent Kansas's 4th district for one year.

“The Bouquet” Jacob A. Espinoza, junior “Still life’s are my favorite subject in art. A still life is a work of art depicting mostly inanimate subject matter, typically commonplace objects which are either natural (food, flowers, dead animals, plants, rocks, shells, etc.) or man-made (drinking glasses, books, vases, jewelry, coins, pipes, etc.) I used a piece of fabric I would wear when my mother was still around. In my earlier childhood my father would create these delicate elaborate flower bouquets for my mother. This is my bouquet for my mother who I miss desperately.”
