Predictions for 2020 Election

With the 2020 Presidential Election upon us after months of debates, campaigning, and anticipation, Americans are left waiting to hear results. As of Nov. 1, former Vice President Joseph Biden is leading the polls. This raises the question of whether or not the electoral college will reflect the polls when results are released. Businesses in downtown areas of Los Angeles and New York have boarded up windows in fear of potential riots after the results are announced, demonstrating just how high tensions are in anticipation for results. Although no one can say for sure yet, Americans have already formed predictions on who they believe will win the presidency.

Victoria Cocannouer, sr.

“Honestly, I’m not totally sure where it’s headed but with the way things are going, I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up with another 2016-type outcome; while Biden might lead in popularity, Trump has the electoral college on his side. As for the public’s reaction, I think civil unrest will break out to some extent no matter what happens. 2020 is the year for taking a stand and all sides seem to be prepared to if it comes down to that.”

Douglas Jamal, jr.

“I feel that Donald Trump will win, but it’s not because I like the man. He will win because money and power are key in this, and he has both. I’m sure the public will be outraged if he wins, but those who are privileged will revel in his victory. A lot of people will be distraught because they know that the next four years of their lives will be miserable. I can say the same for my family, who all have jobs on the line due to his presidency.”
